Enjoy Hebrides: Associate Sites
Associate sites are those sites with which Enjoy Hebrides has an agreement with regards to their accommodation listings. This means that you no longer need to contact these sites directly as a lsiting on these sites is included in your Enjoy Hebrides listings. So, not only do you get your property listed on the incredible number of sites within the Enjoy Hebrides network, you get free listings on all/any of the sites listed below. Altogether you can save yourself a small fortune by signing up with Enjoy Hebrides, but, if you would rather, you are perfectly free to pay these sites their £50 a year listings fee but we feel that this would be rather foolish.
Exciting stuff over the last week or so we have added a number of established accommodation sites to the list of Enjoy Hebrides Associated Sites.
Enjoy Hebrides are proud to be able to include Virtual Scotland in their list of associate sites. Virtual Scotland is going through some major changes at the moment and is refocusing itself to concentrate on Scottish accommodation. While a listing on this site may not appear that fantastic at the moment it is highly likely that, within the next year or two, Virtual Scotland will begine to appear in many accommodation related searches.
Virtual Hebrides is currently in the process of change by shifting their efforts into the creation of content to promote accommodation in the Western Isles/Outer Hebrides. This established site already holds many prime positions in the search engines for accommodation related searches. With these excellent results already we look forward to a bright future with the Virtual Hebrides. This site alone has contributed up to 90% of online bookings for many properties throughout the Isle of Harris and has recently begun to feature in returns for the Isle of Lewis.
Simply Top Limited are in the process of building what will become an incredibly large hotel & accommodation site with a travel information portal. At the moment there are only a few pages but the site is already appearing in the top 3 sites for a great many travel and accommodation searches. When the main hotel element of the site is complete (scheduled for completion before the end of 2009) Enjoy Hebrides Network members properties will appear on the relevant pages in the travel information section. It will even be possible to be included in the main hotel & accommodation section and details will be provided to members when the site is complete.
Bed and Breakfast Helper has, at the moment a page dedicated to Stornoway bed and breakfast accommodation which features strongly on both MSN and Yahoo. They have kindly agreed to include any Stornoway B&B's that are members of Enjoy Hebrides for free. They have also promised that they will create similar pages for other areas of the Hebrides and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.
Scotland Hotel 4U is another Scottish hotel site which has offered it's full support for the Enjoy Hebrides project. They already feature on some search engines for searches relating to Stornoway Hotels and they will add all suitable Enjoy Hebrides members (those offering B&B in Stornoway and on Lewis) to this page with a view to adding further pages relevant to other areas of the Hebrides and other types of accommodation.
Isle of Skye Hotel & bed and breakfast

Owned by the same guys as bed and breakfast helper, Hotel Reservation Helper will be adding Stornoway and Isle of Lewis bed and breakfast to this page and they will soon be adding further pages for other areas and types of accommodation in the Hebrides.
Virtual Skye is a very young site that has already started to appear on the search engines and they are happy to add pages to cover other areas of the Hebrides and all accommodation types.
England Hotel 4u is scheduled for a serious rebuild and they have agreed to add pages covering the Hebrides. Strange as it may sound this is important for the American market as many think that Scotland is part of England - shocking but true. So we aim to take advantage of this lack of geographical knowledge to promote the islands of the Hebrides as a UK tourist destination. All members of Enjoy Hebrides will be first on the list for free listings when they rebuild/redesign the site.
Other Associated Sites
There are currently a further eight sites which have agreed to feature accommodation listed on Enjoy Hebrides. At this time they have not yet created suitable pages for the whole of the Western Isles but some, such as the Scalpay & South Harris sites already cater for accommodation on the Isle of Harris. We will not be listing all the associate sites here but we are certain that you will soon be seeing many of them appearing on Google, Yahoo & MSN.
An example of the sites that will not be listed is Hotel Reservation Helper which will, eventually cover most areas of the Western Isles and various types of accommodation other than hotels. An example of the type of pages on this site can be seen by their Harris hotel page, this site features strongly on MSN & Yahoo so it is hoped that pages featuring Hebrides accommodation will replicate this success.
Becoming An Enjoy Hebrides Associated Site
At the moment we have sufficient associated sites but if we ever associate with any more the site must offer accommodation for a broad range of accommodation in the Hebrides rather than specific. The reason we are no longer accepting associates is that we wish to wait and see how well the current associate sites perform for our clients. We also like to keep a close eye on the quality of associatre sites and we currently have insufficient staff to cope with more sites.
